VELUX, The Cube

A moment of calm in the city.

Commissioned by VELUX for Created for London Design Festival, The Cube invited design audiences to experience VELUX beyond function. Not as a practical decision made during renovation, but as a brand capable of shaping how we feel, live and experience space.

At a time when cities demand more of our attention than ever before, the installation explored the restorative qualities of natural light, fresh air and sound. A temporary retreat designed to slow people down.

An experience shaped by atmosphere rather than product.

Installation

Located in the heart of London's Southbank, The Cube brought together architecture, sound and technology to create an immersive pavilion that appealed to a new generation of design-conscious audiences. Developed in collaboration with Henning Larsen Architects, Bang & Olufsen, AKQA and musician Kasper Bjørke, the experience combined a physical installation, spatial soundscape and digital interaction to reframe how people think about VELUX. Over 2,000 visitors experienced the space during London Design Festival, with the project featured in Wallpaper* and international design media.
